These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Cardvisor mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using Cardvisor, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Cardvisor. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2. Description of the Service
Cardvisor provides tools to help users track credit cards and receive recommendations about which credit card to use for a given purchase based on available data. Cardvisor does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice and does not initiate payments or transactions on your behalf.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Financial Account Connections
Cardvisor uses third-party services, including Plaid, to connect to your financial accounts. By linking accounts, you authorize Cardvisor and Plaid to access and process financial data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Cardvisor does not store your bank login credentials and does not control the availability or accuracy of data provided by third-party financial institutions.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer or misuse the App
6. Subscriptions and Fees
Certain features may be offered on a paid subscription basis in the future. Any applicable fees, billing terms, and cancellation policies will be disclosed prior to purchase.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and software associated with Cardvisor are owned by or licensed to Cardvisor and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Cardvisor makes no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or reliability of recommendations or data provided.
You acknowledge that credit card recommendations are informational only and that you are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cardvisor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or financial losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Cardvisor’s total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cardvisor and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to Cardvisor or other users.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
